Hi, get to know me!

I’m Akshaj Singh, a current A-level student and Head Student at Southam College. I’ve recently completed my own GCSEs and I’m now studying Maths, Further Maths, Business and Computer Science at A-level. 

Achieving the role of Head Student in my Sixth Form has made a great positive impact on my communication, time-management and critical thinking, all of which I can apply in my excellence in tutoring. I enjoy breaking things down, finding the “click” moment, and helping younger students realise they can understand the subject. 

Being a student myself, I can assure you:

• I know the current GCSE syllabus and exam style because I’ve just sat through it.

• I understand the pressure, timing and wording of modern exams.

• I can explain topics in a way that actually makes sense to a GCSE student, not just in textbook language.

I tutor GCSE Maths and GCSE Computer Science for students in Year 9–11, focusing on:

• Closing gaps in understanding

• Improving exam technique

• Building confidence over time
